Den første rejse

Once upon a time some golden people left their home island to find other places to live. They did and nobody heard anything from them for a very long time. But times turned out bad for the emigrants and they started to talk about the old homeland. Where was it? Would it be possible to find it again?

Two young boys volonteered and left in their small golden dinghy. They visited strange countries, which didn't look at all friendly.
Some of them were very beautiful with interesting caves, but they were afraid to wast time, so they rowed on when they didn't see any life.
They saw a fine bird once and very special orbs in the air, but still no sign of life from their own tribe.
They passed mysterious gods sitting in caves, but they didn't seem to be alive.
When they saw this Goddess they thought that they might have come home. The stories from old times told about an island with a Goddess. But no, it couldn't be, the island was all bare. As they rowed on, they felt that she told their minds to keep their direction.
Out of the sea rose a huge portal in front of them. Without hesitating the rowed towards the entrance and into it.
Wonderful halls were inside and they enjoyed so very much the beautiful surroundings.
So this is where the golden light comes from! |
They approached a way out and discovered a quite new world outside.
Look - that island....it calls for us! Se den ø....den kalder på os!
And then they saw it: the island with the Goddess! Their hearts almost stopped beating when they rowed into the bay sheltered by her hands.
A beach – and golden people like themselves were gathering there! Had they succeeded?
Indeed they had! They were welcomed by their own tribe and of course they had to tell their story and about the others way back in the other world. Messenger birds were sent out to look for those waiting for news.
And some wonderful day a row of dinghies were seen approaching the island. They came back home finally!
While they were making ready for a gigantic reunion party something terrible happened. |
Then he settled on his own mountain and ruled the island from there. |
